If I do not have a digital copy, how should I package my photos for mailing?
Photo Mailers are appropriate packaging for newer photos. However, If the photo is old or damaged where it is extra fragile, we recommend that you:

  1. Sandwich the photo carefully between two pieces of thick cardboard (the edges of the cardboard should extend at least 1 inch beyond the photo
  2. Tape the cardboard together on its edges.
  3. Place in an appropriate express mailer and express mail it to:

Do you alter the originals?

No. Each photo is enhanced digitally. If you choose to mail your original photo to me, I will create a digital scan and will return your original photo to you unmodified.

Will my photos be made public?
All works are confidential and will only be added to my portfolio if authorized by you.

How long does it take to complete my Photo Retouching order?
An average turn-around time is 1-3 days. However, it can be as little as several hours, or as long as a week, depending upon your photo's needs and my work-load at that time.

How do I receive my finished photos?
Once you have seen the online preview (which only you will have access to view) and have approved the final version(s) I will simply email you a high-resolution (print ready) version for you to print at will.

Can I approve the results before the final version is sent to me?
Yes. I will email you a digital proof for you to approve, prior to sending finalizing your purchase.

How do I pay?
I have provided secure payment through Paypal for credit/debit card payments.
Checks can be sent to:

Arctic Pixel
2771 Silver
North Pole, AK 99705

Please note that checks will require 10 days for funds to clear the bank, before work begins.

What digital formats do you accept?

I can accept many formats. The most common file types are: jpg gif or psd. Please email me if your image is in a different format than those listed here.

What does “image resolution” mean?
Resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. If you do not know how many dpi (dots per inch) there are in your photo, you can email me the image and I can provide that information for you.

What are the recommended resolutions for printing?
I suggest that you use an image no smaller than 300 dpi. However, there are "tricks" that can be used, (should your image have been taken on a low-quality setting for your camera) that are quite good at smoothing out any pixilation. However, starting with a higher resolution image will obviously offer more customization opportunities for your photo.
